Obituary for James Lucian Stephens

James “Lucian” Stephens, age 70 of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. He was born January 9, 1948 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Hurbert & Bessie Mae Ousley Stephens. He was the husband of Sharon Sexton Stephens. He was a retired Kentucky State Police, US Army Veteran & Pastor of Spurlock Bible Church, Spurlock Fork of Middle Creek. Along with his wife he is survived by his Son: Robert Lucian (Heather “Helen”) Stephens of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; Daughter: Ashley Kristen (C.K.) Dingus of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; Brothers & Sister: William Hager Stephens of Tampa, Florida, Hubert Stephens of Jackson, Michigan & Joann Story of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Brandon Quillen, Harley Quillen, Gavin Stephens, Autumn Stephens, T.J. Lafferty, R.J. Newsome & Ava Francesca Dingus. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his Brother & Sisters: George P. Stephens, Bertha Clifton, Rachel Ison & Katherine Crisp. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Time and Place of Services: Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 12 noon at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky

Visitation: Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 6 pm at the funeral home and all day Wednesday

Officiating: Robert Ousley

Burial: Stephens Ousley Cemetery, (Middle Creek), Spurlock, Kentucky
