Obituary for Kennis "Roe" Evans

Kennis “ROE” Evans age 90 of Grethel husband of the late Topsie Holt Evans passed away on Saturday February 10, 2018 at Parkview Nursing Home in Pikeville.
Kennis was born on June 6th, 1927 in Floyd County, Kentucky a son to the late Charlie Evans and Armina Howell Evans. He was a retired contract laborer and member of Old Beaver Old Regular Baptist Church in Minnie.
He is survived by his son: Davis Evans(Glenna) of Grethel; three daughters: Peggy Owens(Ronnie) of Grethel, Linda Osborne(Jimmy) of Banner and Patty Caudill(Steve) of Hi Hat; and a host of Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren

Along with his wife and parents he is preceded in death by four Brothers: Butler Evans, Ted Evans, Raymond “Shorty” Evans and Earl Evans; and three sisters: Hazel Hamilton, Verlie Hall and Ethel (Blossie) Williams.



Time and Place of Services: Wednesday February 14, 2018 at 11am at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky

Visitation: after 6pm Monday and all day Tuesday at the funeral home

Officiating: Old Regular Baptist Ministers

Burial: Evans Family Cemetery (John Hall Branch) Grethel, Kentucky
